ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
“Butter smooth, gritty smoke”

With a unique voice that croons and swoons, Scott MacKay is dark and light, new but old, a bit of Johnny Cash with threads of Roy Orbison woven into the mystery of a Ray Bradbury novel. The Prince Edward Island born singer / songwriter has been noted both locally and internationally at events such as the Calgary Folk Festival Songwriting Competition and the International Songwriting Competition.

Scott's newest offering 'Twin' recorded and produced by Leeroy Stagger is sure to turn heads as Scott seduces listeners with his sultry voice and songs filled with thoughtful lyrics that ride on haunting melodies.

MacKay is equal parts deep voiced crooner and delicately annunciated soul. There is a certain smokiness and sensual feel to his voice, almost a whisper at points. It warms you up deep in the chest as he sings out his songs. A little bit Roy Orbison and a little bit Keegan Dewitt, Nashville songwriter. – Red Line Roots (redlineroots.ca)

Scott MacKay has a voice that will blow over your skin like a warm breeze. Scott’s name will soon roll off the tongues of music lovers. – Meaghan Blanchard (meaghanblanchard.com)

If you are looking for a performer to provide an unforgettable evening of song, stories, laughter and impeccable musicianship, Scott MacKay is the artist for you. – Rhea March – Artist Development Specialist – March Music & The School of Song. (schoolofsong.com)
