Album Notes
A "re-imagining" of the Jazz Piano styles of Scott Joplin, Jelly Morton and James P. Johnson, moving them 100 years into the future in a loving and respectful fashion.

I am trying to imagine what these musicians, all killer players in their own right, would sound like today if they were still alive and swinging. So....This is not a "historically accurate" recording. Entire strains are missing, melodies have been re-harmonized and in some case the tunes have been juxtaposed over a rhythmic feel the composer would barely recognize. But I think that somewhere, wherever they are....they would approve.
