ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This powerful spirit-filled vocalist has been singing in churches in Oakland, California since the age of three. Gospel has been the mainstay of Sharon D. Henderson’s musical repertoire from her early introduction until the present.

While singing with the award-winning choir, Voices of Christ, she had the opportunity to sing under the direction of such notable gospel directors as Reverend James Cleveland, Helen J.H. Stephens, and sing with vocal talents such as Daryl Coley.

Sharon traveled and sang as a member of the Voices of Christ and the Northern California Gospel Music Workshop of America,

With the advent of her first solo recording venture, Sharon D. Henderson has stepped out on faith knowing that "Through It All" reaches the hearts, minds and souls of her international audience through TV, Radio and the Internet.

Sharon has always believed in the healing and restorative power of music and this debut CD presents the depth of her versatility through song. “Through It All” includes Contemporary Gospel, Negro Spirituals and Positive New Thought music that uplifts the Mind, Body and Spirit.

When she is happy or sad, she sings, when faced with victory or apparent defeat, she sings, in every situation …she sings. Sharon actively pursues every opportunity to fill her own spirit with the joy and rejuvenation of music through song and by doing so, Sharon has become a popular soloist with Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir, and is featured on the CD entitled "Rejoice" (www.oigc.org). Receiving rave reviews from the San Francisco Examiner, Sharon’s moving a Cappella rendition of "Lawd How Come Me Heah" is a featured selection on her newest release “Through It All”.

Ms. Henderson’s smooth melodic voice can also be heard on "Out of the Blue" released in June 2002, composed and produced by John Steiner and Kingfisher for Philomuse www.philomuse.com

With musical theatre to her credit, Sharon was a soloist in Langston Hughes' "Black Nativity" during the 2002/2003 season at Lorraine Hansberry theater in San Francisco. She has also performed with international gospel artist Arvis Strickling-Jones. In San Francisco Lorraine Hansberry Theatre's production of "Black & Blue", she served as understudy to the legendary Bay Area Jazz/Blues artist Faye Carol, as well as other cast members.

As Sharon D. Henderson welcomes the opportunity to heal through her music, she fills the spirit of all who hear her voice.

Sharon D. Henderson is a healing presence in the world.
