Album Notes
Seanster and the Monsters' second full-length album pushes deeper into the absurd, silly humour that has become their trademark, while exploring some of the more heart-felt matters that are so important in childhood. Stripes with Platypus features some of the best Kindie artists, from groundbreaking pioneers like Al Simmons, to Francophone star Madame Diva. This album is primed and ready for your family.

NAAPA Judge Review:

“There is nothing frightening about these Monsters, unless you are scared by puns and witty wordplay. These crazy Canadians stock this album with a kooky collection of comical characters. On the title track, you will not only learn something about the platypus but find out various words that rhyme with platypus too. “Giant Lizard” will make you sympathetic to the Godzillas of the world, while the CD’s other monster track – “Monsters in the Family” – offers a humorously compassionate portrait by a kid who has a yeti for a mom and a sasquatch for a sister. Other highlights include “Pigeon Wings” (with its hilarious animal hybrids), the pun-tastic “Snow Fort,” and the delightfully odd ditty “Walk To School.” The disc ends on another high note with the quirky philosophy of “Here’s Some Things,” which shares advice like “mail order rocks make lousy pets” and “trust the sign that says the paint is wet. Stripes With Platupus will serve up an awesomely amusing time.”
