Album Notes
Lost in the Granite Mountains of NSW Australia, is a little valley called Secret Gully. Surrounded by towering ridges and divided by a rocky gorge, Secret Gully is home to some unique Australian wildlife. Koalas, echidnas, tiger cats, goannas, black cockatoos and eagles live around the valley.

Musician and toymaker Peter Harris has been observing the beautiful creatures in Secret Gully for over 30 years. He has composed music and broadcast wildlife stories on the ABC about them and has also created a series of puppets inspired by the animals themselves.

This album contains a selection of songs for children, performed by the puppet characters.
Peter’s aim is to help young children learn to love the creatures and their habitats. The songs are lots of fun, with simple tunes, rich accompaniments and light-hearted words about Secret Gully and the lives of the delightful inhabitants.

You can see the beautiful characters, in both living form and puppetry on the Secret Gully website. Peter has also written iBooks and a very effective bedtime App set in Secret Gully, called Sleepy Music. Peter’s other interests include performing with “Welder’s Dog” , a Celtic / Australian trio. Search for Welder’s Dog’s music on CDBaby.
