Album Notes
Chicago Illinois - 2004 Imperial Rage/Septer Projects spearheaded by Guitar Demi-God Orest Dziatyk has released a new CD entitled "Transgressor". This CD contains some of the most solid heart pounding metal served up for our delight that this writer has heard in some time and would consider this CD as a must have for any metal fan. This CD features 8 blistering tracks that combine all the aspects of great metal and brings to life the power of the quintessential metal band, heavy and heartfelt - every song. The lineup consists of original members from a previous band "Transgressor" that dominated the metal scene back in the 80's, namely Orest Dziatyk (Lead Guitar) and Kevin Truell (Vocals). Main influences Judas Priest and iron Maiden, Uli Roth, Yngwie Malmsteen.

The band was formed back in the early 90's when Orest met Paul Dailey wich gave the band it's early beginings, later Orest recruited former members of Firestorm Kevin Truell and Jeff Kmiec. Joining them for this CD was also Brent Sullivan(bass) from Slaughter Xstroyes and Winter Kill playing the majority of the CD. (Matt Weaver also played on two cuts of the CD and is the current bass player).
Currently the CD is getting coverage in Switzerland, Germay, Norway, Japan, Puerto Rico and the States.

Don't know what to say - this CD just blew me away! Fantastic White Power Metal with a great vocalist - a MUST HAVE!

Yes I know, this album is already available for three years now, but it’s kinda tough to find it. The Christian rock scene is very rich, but it’s rather unusual to read about these bands in the so-called ‘regular’ metal magazines. Listening to the eight songs on this album though, it would be a shame to leave this for what it is, and enjoy it on my own. Songs like “Transgressor” and “Blood And Dishonor” are rough diamonds, and a real must for fans of JAG PANZER or WATCHTOWER. Great instrumental parts with many speed changes and a good vocalist, who screams his lungs out. SEPTER consists of Hawk on guitar, Paul Dailey on guitar, Kevin Truell on vocals, Jeff Kmiec on drums and Matt Weaver on bass. “You Better Believe” is a very balladesque song, but with “Tonight” they hit the nail right on the head again. While “Vesuvious” is another hot and steaming tune, as the title predicts already. Add to this the mighty powerful vocals, which makes it to another highlight. The only disappointment is that the album only lasts for about thirty-five minutes. But these were thirty-five heavenly minutes, if I may say so. “The God Key” is the title of the newest release by this band, and I am definitely going to check that one out as well, because after listening to “Transgressor”, I really want to hear more. “Slipping Away” and “Last Days” close this marvellous CD, which deserves to be reviewed in this section, even three years after its original release. Is it that good? Better judge for yourself!

Heavy, powerful and long overdue!
This is an excellent CD! Highly recommended to all serious metallers! My understanding is that these songs were written back in the 80's by the Chicago metal band Transgressor (of which Hawk was a member)and I can remember the song "Transgressor" being played on Z-Rock back in the day. The music is heavy and powerful and a great example of Chicago METAL! The lyrics have a Christian theme, but ironically the song LastDays reminds me of See You in Hell (Grim Reaper)! Only complaint is that Brent Sullivan (Slauter Xstroyes/WinterKill) played bass on the majority of these songs but received no credit for it. Buy or Die!

This album rocks! Its about time these Trangressor classics were released. Hawk's playing brings back memories of the 80's with Paul Brodlo at the Space Place.

this is first class metal!!! a vocal that rip your spine out.... this is a must have album!!!!!

Great buy!
Excellent album! Outstanding vocals and guitars (the solo's are amazing..I've been a fan of Hawk's playing since I first heard him in Imperial Rage..) and some killer bass lines as well. The production is nice and punchy and the songs are well-crafted and very memorable. This is about as "true" as metal gets...you can't go wrong with it!

Great Power Metal!!!!
This band reminds me musically and lyrically of early Bloodgood. Strong leads, strong message, and great songs. The vocalist reminds me of the original singer for Tourniquet. This CD will get played a lot as I have been searching for some great metal lately!!!

Septer is one of the best new releases.
Pounding drums and awesome vocals with great guitar work.
you've got to check this out!

KT that is because its the vocalist of the newly formed Chicago area band Unleashed. He still rips so watch for them!

Great album
Really good album, which surpasses most other albums I have because of the lyrical content and the vocal style. Top class metal!
