ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
After a year or so of occasional impromptu gigs and many inquiries from listeners about where they'd be playing next, they had their first "official" gig together up in Estes Park, CO. The response from the audience convinced them they had stumbled upon something they should seriously pursue.

With varied but shared influences from big band and jazz, to the acoustic rock and blues of Browne, Raitt, Clapton and the Allman's, their original music is sometimes difficult to categorize. Sferes & White's debut collaborative CD project "The View from Here" dips its toes into several genres including country rock, jazz, blues, and folk.

Audiences enjoy the interaction and humor they bring to their live performances.

Lush, unpredictable dissonant harmonies that I love! Reminds me of a bluesier CS
I am loving this CD. The guitar playing is strong and groovy and the tight harmonies are a pleasant surprise...Jennifer's voice is smooth and pure and it feels like honey. Jimmy's voice is equally as pure with a downhome "feels like an old friend" hangin on the front porch kind of sound. I like the traverse from folk to blues to alt-country showing a strength in bending genres, making this a truly enjoyable listen! Congrats!

A beautiful sounding, soulful and very enjoyable CD
I love the subtle harmonies and the two voices switching back and forth. I love the mix of acoustic and steel guitar. I love the variety of songs, the moving lyrics, and the sense of "place" the whole thing conjures up. Simple and complex interweaving within each other. And recored with wind power! Wow! A great CD.
