Album Notes
With their latest album, Frightening All The Dogs, Sgian Dubh draws on the band members' individual musical backgrounds - rock, Celtic, bluegrass, punk, and folk - to deliver a unique take on a variety of songs with traditional origins. The album's offerings include pub favorites, songs of rascals and rebels, rowdy musical adventures, and a rock'n'roll sea-faring original!

While many of the songs are traditional in source, Sgian Dubh's interpretations can be anything but. From playing traditional instruments in their often "non-trad" style, to rocking up some "folky" standards, this engaging band produces an entertaining listening experience on each track. The varied mix of acoustic and electric numbers should offer every listener a choice of favorites!

Two bonus tracks are also included on the album, recorded "live & raw" from the audience at one of the band's favorite pubs.
