ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Shaimus' self-titled third and final album is the culmination of the band's journey. With the help of producer Brian Fennell (of the band Barcelona), Shaimus' creativity was focused to find a sound. The 10 songs represent the best and most consistent writing that the band has done to date. Each musical decision was made with intention. Instrumental parts complement each other while always supporting the melody and vision of the song. The sonic palette is rich with atmosphere. There are up-tempo, danceable songs, but there is also a darker melancholy vibe. Certain songs focus on struggles that inevitably occupy the minds of coming-of-age artists: How can we remain genuine? How can we take the hustle and constant critique in stride? There are also strong themes of love and determination. The sound is modern but organic, on par with efforts by Grizzly Bear, Radiohead, Mutemath and maybe a little Phoenix. Enjoy.
