Album Notes
Skylark was written by Hoagy Carmichael and Johnny Mercer, two of the most well known figures in 20th century American popular music. First published in the early 1940's, the song was covered by Anita O 'Day, Glen Miller and Ella Fitzgerald among many others. Wikipedia lists 31 officially recorded versions, including more recent interpretations by K D Lang and Boz Scaggs.
