A Pretty Decent Cape In My Closet

by Shane Koyczan and the Short Story Long

Cutting edge "Talk Rock" by a group that will turn you inside out then fill your intestines with helium and make balloon animals out of them. Always accessible but by turns hilarious, moving and deeply profound. often all in the same song.

Getting lost in the words of Shane Koyczan
I was soooo happy and excited when I received my cd. The minute I listened to the first song I literally fell in love with the lyrics, getting lost in the words immediately. Very inspiratoinal, soft, powerful voice and lyrics. I reccomend this CD to anyone that wants to get mesmerized and lost in a unique world of spoken word!!

Incredible
This album is incredible. Shane is the voice of a new generation of poetry that incorporates the rhythm of voice and music in a new, body shaking way. With emotionally charged tracks such as "The Crickets Have Arthritis" and "Move Pen Move", you will feel as though you stole this album because it's worth is more than you can get a receipt from.

Amazing.
Everything about this album just makes me so happy. I bought it for my best friend, because he's pretty much nuts for any of Shane's "talk rock". He was really happy with it, and so was I. Move Pen Move, was probably my favorite.

Moving
Shane Koyczan is the type of poet that turns you inside out. I'm from a small town in Georgia and a Canadian friend suggested this band to me. The lyrics are beautiful, inspring and life changing. It's impossible to listen to the beauty that Koyczan has woven without having an entirely new outlook on life. After listening to the CD multiple times I felt compelled to recommend the band to everyone I know and each one of my friends feels the same. So, thank you Shane Koyczan and the Short Story Long.

You guys are revolutionary.
