Album Notes
God's Girl is the name of the title track and you might wonder who she is. It's not any one girl in particular but a kind of girl you meet from time to time, sometimes pretty, sometimes plain, but with a quiet confidence since the day she found her faith. Now, she's a little off-limits to the boy next door and the club scene. She is sometimes alone, but never lonely. She believes she has a personal relationship with her savior and perhaps some of her friends think she's gone nuts, but she really hasn't. She's just way ahead of the game.

John Bonaduce was always facinated by "God's Girl" and wrote a song celebrating her cheeful confidence, here sung by his talented ensemble, Shantigarh which he directs. Actually, if you go back a few hundred years, you'll find the melody in an old hymn called "Lord Whose Love in Humble Service." That fine old song has undergone a makeover here and picked up some fine words along the way.

It's nice to listen to music, but if you like to sing praise music, you may find this material will work in your church. That's where it was born, after all.
