Album Notes
I was newly in Nashville, writing a lot with other newcomers; Allen Estes, and Paul David Wells, and we would sample our wares at the old Budget hotel Songwriters night behind Shoneys off music row, hosted by Steve Bivens. It was a magical free time, and we were like kids in a candy store. There was enough interest in our music to have some demo's made. This is one of the tunes that got us geared up and ready to record more professionally later for our upcoming Trinity Lane sessions (featuring me, Allen and Tom Grant). Our pals Chas Williams and Ray Mann played on this one. We went live off the floor with accustic guitars (me and Allen), dobro (Chas), bass and drums (Ray played both bass and drums at the same time!) and Allen added on harmonies. Then Chas added that great banjo track.
