Album Notes
Sharon has skipped up and down Music Row in Nashville when it was earning its fame, collaborating and finding her style. After being signed to Capitol, Liberty, Curb and Royalty records, and having some profile songs appear on the Canadian charts, she settled down to a job and a family. But the enchanted life of a wandering minstrel gypsy.. especially those early days in Northwestern Canada, rolling through the Rocky Mountains and the Alberta prairies from town to town playing her guitar.. well that can't be easily dismissed.. there was a freedom there, and a unique passage into a creativity that brought joy wherever it could flourish. It couldn't help but burst forth.. It is very much alive today in her music, and it appears.. here to stay.
Special thanks to Chas Williams, George Bradfute, Michael Shellard, Rory Hoffman and all the other enablers and instigators.. heh. Mostly this album is a thank you to Swami Kriyananda and the teachings of Yogananda, for giving voice to deep inner truths that could be so melodically illustrated.

And finally, an acknowledgement to some amazing artists for their inspiration through the years.. Joni Mitchell, James Taylor, Cat Stevens, Ian Tyson, Neil Young, Gordon Lightfoot, Paul Simon, Nanci Griffith, the Rankin family, and Steve Gillette. and some from other genres also .. Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, John Denver, Merle Haggard, Josh Groban, Andrea Bocelli, Frank Sinatra, Michael Buble.. And again, Swami Kriyananda.for his music.
