Farther to Fall

by Sharon Anderson

When I was a music row staff writer and artist on Capotol records in the late 80's, I got to write with renowned artist and hit writer Walt Aldridge. All these years later, I'd like to finally share one of these little jewels. Farther to Fall.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This song was recorded near Muscle Shoals in Alabama at Walt Aldridge's studio for All Nations music and Rick Hall productions. It was a wonderful time. I had recorded an album for Capitol Records in Nashville and was writing for an upcoming Liberty session. So many wonderful accomplished writers I was able to collaborate with. Walt was among my favorites; so kind hearted and had such deep passion and excellence in his production/singing/playing. It was an experience I'll never forget. And 3 wonderful songs came out of the experience. Farther to Fall is a sort of halftime shuffle, upbeat.. kind of like the music Michael Buble is doing these days. Walt wrote There ain't no getting over me for Ronnie Milsap, and many other notable hits. This song is timeless in its appeal. Optimism and happy melodies don't ever go out of style!

You may enjoy this sound if you listen to artists like Michael Buble, James Taylor, Ronnie Milsap, Dolly Parton, Shania Twain, Faith Hill, Jo Dee Messina, The Dixie Chicks, Rascall Flatts, Sugarland, The Band Perry, Taylor Swift, Blake Shelton etc.
