In the tradition of
Crosby Stills Nash and Young, Simon and Garfunkel, The Mama's and Papas, and The Seekers-- this vocal group formed in the late 80;s and consisted of Maine's Allen Estes, Milwaukie's Tom Grant, and Alberta's Sharon Anderson. They met on Nashville's music row and were soon well known around town for their folky vocal stylings. They were signed to Curb Records and started writing albums to record. Some of Nashville's finest were brought in on these "live off the floor" sessions, and people from the industry like The Judds, Eddy Arnold, Kieth Whitley, and Tammy Wynett were dropping by to hear these bright new sounds. Simple sensitive lyrics with intricate harmonies intertwining in and out of some of the most inspired session playing of the day.. produced by Norro Wilson and Jim Malloy (Toni Migliori, and the 3 themselves produced some of the cuts). You can also see them performing "We're Closer than you think" and "Some day Some Night" live on the Nashville Now program back in the day.. on youtube. Lost in a vault all these years, I thought it was finally time for some of these pretty songs to see the light of day. I hope you enjoy Trinity Lane
