ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
In 1991, during my down time as a music teacher, I was feverishly working on demos to get out to record labels. The majority of my music had positive messages and could’ve gone in many directions; so I submitted to pop, country and Christian labels. For two years, rejection after rejection came in the mail. However, in 1993, I finally found someone who liked what they heard! The label that signed me, Comstock Records, specialized in country music…so my country music career was born. 7 years and 3 albums later, in 2000, I released Through the Eyes of the Beholder. It received many awards and honors, but because it was only released in the Independent music market, I wasn't able to get it out to the masses. Now, with today's technology and music sharing opportunities, I finally have the chance to do what I have always wanted to do: get my music to the people!

Some background to the songs:
“Two Left Feet” – a guy pulled me off the stage during a show to dance and he was a HORRIBLE dancer…I couldn’t help but make it into a song!
“Through the Eyes of the Beholder” – a song for my husband, which reflects how he makes me feel.
“Whatever Happened to the Romance” – a song about passion dying in a relationship
“For the Last Time” – a song about moving on in a relationship
“I’ll Be Damned” – fun song about my Pop Pop Beavers’s favorite expression
“Just One Thought” – a reflective song about facing temptation and making that choice to stray from a relationship
“I Want to Thank You” – another song for my Dad, this time as teacher and mentor. I wrote it for him for his 60th birthday party.
“To Give You Love” – a song about making sacrifices for the family
“Just Like That” – a song about not giving up on a marriage
