Sheila Firestone, Composer, ASCAP member an M.S.Ed, has been a student of musical composition and the creation of new music since 1987,writing: instrumental music, ballads, post - modern /new tonal music, sacred and choral works, songs for children and curriculum as well as new-age style music with electronic instrumentation for meditation and healing.

Retired after twenty-five years of teaching Gifted Education. Sheila received grants and awards for both her educational programs, and new-classical music. Dr. Anne K. Gray has identified Sheila in her Pulitzer Prize nominated book, “The World of Women in Classical Music.” Firestone, is included in “Who’s Who in the World, Who’s Who in America, and Who’s Who in Education.”
Firestone is a member of the Boca Raton, Florida branch and the current State of Florida, Secretary of The National League of American Pen Women, an organization of published composers, writers and artists joined together to promote the arts and literature. She is a member of the Delian Society, an online network of new-tonal music composers Sheila is a patroness member of Sigma Alpha Iota, a National Music Fraternity at the University of Miami. She served as the President of the Patroness group for a number of years. She is a member of The Women Cantor’s Network.
