Album Notes
Shelley and her husband Lawrie are gaining a nation-wide reputation in Australia as fine songwriters and dynamic live performers. Recent performances include Melbourne Love Vintage Show, Woodford Folk Festival, Tamworth Country Music Festival and the Kurri Kurri Nostalgia Festival. Their repertoire of Rockabilly, Rock ‘n’ Roll and Honky-Tonk has been a hit with fans and they have found a niche market that suits their look and style of music. Shelley and Lawrie have also just played at the world’s largest Rockabilly festival – Viva Las Vegas in Las Vegas.

Shelley’s first Rockabilly recording Bettie Bang, written about Pin Up Icon Bettie Page, has received strong airplay in Australia and has achieved chart positions in Europe.
The clip for Bettie Bang can be viewed on YouTube at –

Bettie Bang was also recently used by Pin Up icon Cherry Dollface for a YouTube instructional video. Shelley has a love of 1950’s music and fashion and her photos have been featured in magazines such as Retro Lovely, Pin Up Skool and Pin Up America. She is also one of two winners in the Pin Up America World Wide Photo Contest 2014. Shelley has written articles for Australia’s Pin Up Skool magazine including interviews with famous American pin up models: Micheline Pitt, Bernie Dexter and Cherry Dollface.

Shelley’s husband Lawrie is a man of many talents. He plays a number of instruments and is also an accomplished songwriter having scored a number one hit in Australia with his song Scars, co-written with Lee Kernaghan and Matt Scullion and recorded by Lee and American Superstar Dierks Bentley. Lawrie worked alongside Lee for 18 years in his band. He has also worked with stars such as Slim Dusty, Jimmy Barnes and Ross Wilson and has received some of the highest accolades in Australia for his musicianship including four Golden Guitars.

Shelley launched her self-titled debut EP at the Kurri Kurri Nostalgia Festival this March and performed main stage with Lawrie and band – Randall Wilson and Darryl Keighley.

One of the tracks from the new EP – ‘I Didn’t Know What I Was Missing’ included on a Hillcrest compilation is currently being played around the world and is charting in Europe!
