ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Shepherds The Weak is a group of Filipino ‘pares’ with instruments, mics and a passion for music who stumbled together in 2001. Playing with a different name until 2005, Shepherds The Weak (STW) has become a household name in the Hong Kong metal scene as one of the oldest and heaviest metal bands to hail from the Asian city.

In 2006, STW released their first EP, "Strength In Numbers", and went on to play numerous shows locally and internationally, opening up for bands such as Unearth, Parkway Drive, Misery Signals, Terror, First Blood, Shai Hulud, and Comeback Kid, as well as Napalm Death (Asian Tour, Shenzhen) and Shadows Fall (2009, Pulp Summer Slam). Shepherds The Weak has also helped bring some Filipino bands to Hong Kong, including their good friends Badburn, Piledriver, Intolerant, Typecast and Skychurch, and are planning to sponsor more shows in the future.

In 2010, two of the original members were replaced by another Filipino, Bryant Vallejo, and a Finn, Tommi Svinhufvud to take up guitar and bass duties, respectively.

February 2013, Shepherds The Weak released their second EP, "Aeons", opened for American metalcore band As I Lay Dying, while keeping busy writing songs for their first full-length release.

Shepherds The Weak spent 2016 - 2017 slowly preparing and recording their first full-length album, titled “Biformity”, which will be released September 16th, 2017. This released was lead by the single “Black Rain”, accompanied by the band’s first ever music video.
