ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Sherree Chamberlain is a singer-songwriter based in Oklahoma. In her early 20s, Chamberlain began to organically draw a growing fan base both locally and internationally. The buzz surrounding her music inevitably led her into the studio where Chamberlain worked with musicians from The Polyphonic Spree, Beck, and Sufjan Stevens, to create her debut album, The Wasp in the Room. After two years of performing in the Midwest, she took a break to write her second album, New Skin. A fairly stark departure from her first record, New Skin is an entirely fan-funded project that has given Chamberlain the artistic freedom to reference her Oklahoma folk and country roots through her fresh, pure, emotive vocals likened to those of Jenny Lewis and Feist. Look for Sherree Chamberlain performing a number of shows this spring, including Norman Music Festival and SXSW, to promote her new album.
