ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
It has been 7 years since my last recording, "Journeys" and I have been slowly writing tunes over these last several years. Here are 12 new original tunes in addition to some traditional tunes from my Irish and Quebecois heritage. My inspiration for writing happens mainly due to the people who have impacted my life, the places I have been and the scriptures that I have read.

A Mother's Love: Written for Anita Heavenor. She is a single mother who has been raising her little grandson. Her love and compassion for him is truly an inspiration.

Ann & Linda's Jig: Written for Ann Campbell and Linda Allen a.k.a. the McTavish Twins! They have been a huge support of my music and have been long time friends of the family.

Eagles Wings: The title track of the cd, "Eagles Wings" was written for Kerry Armitage, a mother, teacher, principal and founder of March Academy. Her love for the children at the school, her grace, humility and patience has inspired me to write this tune. Isaiah 40:31 "They shall mount up with wings as eagles."

Gigue Guy Paul: Written for RCMP constable Guy Paul Larocque who resides in Fredericton, NB. He enjoys playing in Bb and F.

Le Reel Yvon: Written for Yvon Cuillerier of St. Bruno, QC. His love of music and his passion for sharing his music with others is what inspired me to write this tune.

Manon: Written for Manon Campbell of Ottawa, ON. She is a dear friend who defines grace, encouragement, humility, and a desire to serve others before herself. We served in a missions trip together in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Matt 25:35-36.

Neil's First Change: Written for my nephew, Neil Michael Fitzpatrick

Paul Porter's Jig: Written for a great friend, Paul Porter, who has been our photographer for the Bb Sisters as well as this project. He's a fine Irish Lad!

Reel à Ron Bourque: Ron, a NB native, is a former student of mine. He is a regular fiddler with the group, "The Fiddleheads" where they perform in nursing homes and seniors residences.

Reel Stéphanie: Written for Stéphanie Lépine of Saint-Alexis-de-Montcalm, QC. She is a fine fiddler!

Tune for Cameron: Written for my son, Cameron MacLeod on Mother's Day.

Urs Bollinger Waltz: Co-written with Urs. We composed this waltz on the last night of his lessons. He is a good fiddler and a great supporter of music!
