Album Notes
Through the years we have had many members come and go….and come back again! Each and every person remains a part of our family. Each person has brought their own special gift and has left their mark upon us all.

Stay a while and get to know us….

**Please check back on this page often. As we comb though our archives and reconnect with our past we will share those moments and memories with you!**

I guess you had to be there…. I am the birth mother of this chaos although a bit squeamish about taking responsibility for it. Not that I get an option…that’s what I love about Wicca, no “Devils” to blame my behavior on. It’s all on me baby. My musical influences have been Fleetwood Mac, Pat Benatar and Robert Plant. I have been Wiccan for 29 years and a Priestess for 19 of those (la de da-no tea and crumpets for me.) Shining Wheel Pagan Chorus has enables me to leave a happy legacy to my community in he form of awesome songs of energy dedicated to the God and Goddess (and to personal growth of course!)

I have been an audio engineer for how long? 10 Years? well as a singer/songwriter/musician. I have extremely eclectic musical taster, and I am influenced by everything, even sounds that aren’t music. I got to Wicca sideways, though drumming, Mickey Hart, Tom Robbins, and Robert Heinlein. I have always had a Pagan Pantheistic world-view, but didn’t know what it was called. I discovered the Tampa Bay area Pagan community in my m id/late 20’s, and after solitary tinkering for a while I finally found a home and a wonderful family of fellow freaks in Shining Wheel Coven. I get a sense of personal power from my spiritual path that doesn’t have to be “power over”, as well as moments of extreme fear which typically lead to breakthroughs, growth, and personal evolution. Sometimes I do my best growing through moments of extreme public embarrassment which also leads to transformation. As the Chorus’ musical director, one of the things I get off on is throwing new challenges at people and watching them quickly rise above and meet my expectations. This is truly a great crew.

No, it’s still ok. I’m with the Band

Blissfully married to the love of my life, momma to our own little Sun God, and staff to 2 feline Gods, I’ve been singing and playing music in some form or fashion for as long as I can remember. Lyrically I’m influenced in some way by nearly everything, right down to my sons bubbling laughter; vocally my influences run from Etta James and Carole King through Heart and Pat Benatar and Joan Jett (and everything in between). I never had much spiritual/religious upbringing and did a lot of searching before tripping over the Pagan path I’d been walking all along. Singing with Shining Wheel is a laid back but bliss-inspiring experience, perfect for finding the God and Goddess within and Giving them voice…(the don’t call me the Goddess of Communication for nothing!)

About me? Well, I'm a mother of three (my favorite thing to be). If you want to find your way to my heart, you have to win over my children first. I deliver the mail to pay the bills. I'm an aspiring Kundalini Yoga instructor. I love singing with my friends, traveling and meeting cool people. In the fall you can find me playing co-ed softball for NFS in Land O Lakes. (stands for No Flipping Sponsor!) And one of my favorite things to do is
watch a thunderstorm from a covered porch.

Stare at my mesmeric head; I am the shine in "Moonlight Shines". I have been musical since birth and my ultimate goal is to hit 3 octaves below middle C; I make Godsmack sound like tenors. Gene Simmons, the Wilson Sisters (Heart) and The Spinners were my musical influences.
My path to Paganism was like a drunkard's walk - very erratic and curvy. Paganism brings me peace. My favorite thing about being in the band is to go to strange new places, meet strange new people (emphasis on strange) and entertain them (and ourselves)(mostly ourselves).
I am a drummer AND a musician –

I have been walking this wondrous path of knowledge and growth for 16 years and in that time I have moved from Weekend Witch to Wide Eyed Neophyte to Shaman Priestess-and I have been every where in between, and each day I find I am challenged to rise to even higher heights. I sing because I have no choice-every moment of my life is a single note ringing through eternity…and when I feel the vibration begin to rise, the only thing I can do is let it out. And who better to let it out with than this bunch! My biggest musical influences have been and still are Bruce Dickinson, The Doors, Joan Baez, Jim Croce and Loreena McKennitt. More secrets will be revealed later. I’m not saying if they will be mine or yours.

Growing up in the '60's and the Woodstock era, my musical influences are Joan Baez, Joni Mitchell, and Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young. I guess you can say I am the resident, harmonious, flower child. I have always been a child of the Goddess and as a girl would mark the time between full moons. For me, finding Wicca was like "going home".

aka Eric of the East aka Phire Wunjo - resident clown and ham. (Okay I'm not the only one, but I am the best!)
I’ve has been singing since I was a youngling in the elementary school Christmas pageant. In high school singing in the yearly musical was one of my greatest joys. Shortly after finding Paganism I attended a Shining Wheel Pagan Chorus concert and knew that this was what I wanted to do!
Over the years, since that first concert, I have attend other Shining Wheel concerts, I’ve performed with a shadow cast of the Rocky Horror Picture Show, I’ve done a play and a musical at a community theater, and I have even co-organized a Pagan Festival which featured Shining Wheel as the musical special guest.
Ten years after that fateful concert I have finally reached my goal! I was invited to join the Chorus.
