Elemental Children of Earth

by Shining Wheel Pagan Chorus

Elemental Children of Earth is a stripped down, bare-boned gospel-like celebration of how we get all of our needs met from Mother Earth and how we co-create and participate in the process. It is a rejection of a worldview that is shame and/or fear based.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Reviews for our first album-
"This album contains a delightful array of Pagan chants & songs, done in a variety of musical styles. Some remind me of gospel, others of rock, some of women's music.... the list goes on. There's sure to be something for everyone on here.
I really enjoyed "Chants of Balance". My favorites included the sweetly crooning "Lady of the Moon", the rapid-fire "Shakti/Shiva", and the driving "Roots and Wings". The songs and chants are well-written, and the background music is deft and appropriate. Many of the chants are perfect for use in ritual and the more complex songs are good if you have a talented musicians in your group or to play as mood music during a coven party.
Most highly recommended."

Review by Elizabeth Barrette, PanGaia Magazine

"There are many web groups, book stores, and local gatherings trying to create a strong sense of community among pagans. It warms the heart to see them succeed. When we pagans unite, overcoming our differences and glorifying in our similarities, we can do anything we Will!

The Shining Wheel Pagan Chorus is an excellent example of the strength of a pagan community. A group of pagans from the Tampa Bay area of Florida got together, created a choir, and recorded a beautiful, uplifting CD celebrating the balance between male and female, and the Lady and her Lord. The CD is called Chants of Balance.

The Shining Wheel Pagan Chorus rehearsed at the Tampa UU Church and then went to Panda Studios in Clearwater to record 16 chants that all pagans can use in ritual no matter what their tradition is .

There is a chant for the Elements, one for Loki and all Tricksters, one for offering gratitude to the Divine, several to honor specific Goddesses and Gods, and a couple to honor nature and all our relations within it.

The lyrics are lovely; the music simple and pure with just a guitar, percussion, and keyboards. The chants are laid back and easy to learn. The CD is a relaxing, empowering, and a joy to listen to. Chants of Balance is a great addition to your ritual music collection!"
