ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Shirt Tail Kin was formed by Curtis Russet (Live Bait, Woodshed Boys) in 2017. It’s line up of seasoned players includes Mike Bennett (The Beatroots, Birdhouse) on drums, Pete Davis (Blue Northern, Delco Ray) on pedal steel and guitar, and Ezra Rugg (Catch A Vibe, The Sauternes) on bass. They play their own songs, some covers, and some traditional songs. Ballads, rockers, two steps, waltzes and skanking. They play regularly at the Pickled Wrinkle in Birch Harbor. They would like to play at your legion hall. Their enjoyment of playing music and playing together as a band shines through in their live performances.

Shirt Tail Kin:
It’s usually said to refer to somebody who is a relative by marriage or is only distantly related, such as a fourth cousin, or is a family friend with honorary status as a relative. Those are my shirt tail relatives: people enough “related to me" that someone in my family circle cares deeply about their lives, but not closely enough related to me that I have any idea what the relationship is, in a biological or legal sense...Bandmates....You.
