Galbi
My heart desires only love.
Don’t take it away from me.
The gates of heaven open for my tears.
Be merciful to me, God
and tend my wounded heart.
Whose hate took you away from me?
Nothing will ever compare with you.
How can I approach you now?
Which way will lead me back to the depths
of your heart?

Two Suns
We are grains of sand
Happiness will bring us back together

Let us rejoice together
Let joy fill our hearts

We are the gold of the earth
And we're raised as sons of God
We are just grains of sand
When we fall apart

If happiness will be in our hearts -
It will bring us back together.

We are light cast in the flesh
Sons of the universe
We’re just poor shooting stars
When we fall apart

Let us rejoice together
Let joy fill our hearts

Two suns sit inside our souls
But we’re in the dusk of darkness
Their heat won’t warm our hearts
When we fall apart

Happiness will bring us back together

Ya Achdar Chudari
Oh my handsome, dark-skinned one,
my family disowned me because of you
and as they do, my love just grows stronger.
I sang and they said, “you fell in love.”
I prayed and they said, “you repented.”
I cried and they said we broke up.
Darling, I send you my love.
Dear love, dress royally now
and the black of the ink will color our hands
and the perfume and fragrance of roses will adorn you.

Spirit (Ruchi)
My heart is yearning for you, oh tears, fall.
You have scorched my soul,
no one else makes me burn as you do.
You drive me crazy, yet I am sane,
and whatever you asked I have brought, oh darling.
I wish I could turn into garden of roses
and to amuse with the finest man on this dark night.
I was carrying a sigh, bullets and gun powder,
shame will prevail on the day I will be dead and gone.

Havdalah
When three stars first appear in the sky on
Saturday night, Havdallah is recited to mark
the end of the Shabbat (Sabbath) and the beginning
of the week.
The ritual involves lighting a multi-wicked candle,
a glass of wine, and the smelling of spices.
Blessed are you, Lord, our God, King of the universe
Who creates the fruit of the vine (Amen)
Our seed and fortune shall flourish and propagate
like sand, like the stars in the night sky.
For the candle and scent, my heart desires
and a glass of wine for Havdalah.
He, who separates the sacred from the secular
will forgive our sins.
Pave the roads for me.
Open the gates for me, angels of above.
I will lift my eyes with yearning to God
Who provides me day and night
Blessed are You, God, our Lord, King of the universe,
Creator of the different spices (Amen)
Blessed are You, God, our Lord, King of the universe,
Creator of light (Amen)
There will be Light to the tzadik
And to the honest mans – happiness

Eliyahu, the prophet
Eliyahu, the Tishbi
Eliyahu, the Giladi
May he come to us soon
with Mashiach son of David.
When I am in need,
provide me from Your treasure of goodness.
There is no limit to your generous mercy.
Blessed are You, God, our Lord, King of the universe,
who separates between the holy and the secular;
between the light and dark;
between Israel and the other nations;
between the seventh day and the six days of the week.
Blessed are You, God, who separates between
the holy and the profane.

Abdah Bil'agual
"Abadah" is a traditional Yemenite song
sung by women at the Henna ceremony
before a wedding.

To you my love, I wrote songs in perfumes.
We stood on two sides of the river
You called my name and I answered you.
Please mother, invite him in.
Dear mother, I finally met the love
for whom I shed many tears, waiting to find.
We joined in love,
but dear mother, I miss you
I wish I were a bird
that could spread her wings
and fly back to your doorstep.
