ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Shantel D. Haynes, also known as Shon Denay, is an Oglala Lakota Sioux and African American singer-songwriter from Las Vegas, Nevada. Her vocal style is a blend of Neo Soul, Smooth Jazz, Vocal Jazz, Cabaret and Quiet Storm. With a distinctively unique yet soothing voice; Shon Denay embodies the vintage and earthy sounds of past Jazz artists from the early to mid-20th century.

Shon Denay has currently completed recording the projected 8 track EP with producer Bosie T and is ecstatic on the release of her first debut single “Again”. The EP “On The Rocks” is set to follow including tracks “Wanting”, “Sea Sick”, “Should I”, "Diversion", "Comeback" and “RIPn Up”.

Being raised in the “City of Lights”, Shon Denay inherently participated in local talent shows like a fish to water, winning “Best Vocal Performance” (Lipservice Awards) and “Favorite Female” (Bounty Awards). In 2009, Shon Denay also provided vocals for the track “Gotta Move On” on the “Love vs Pain Project” produced by Bosie T. In 2016, she provided vocals for the tracks; "Make Her Say" "Infidelity" and "Chain Reaction" on Chico Spitz "City of Devils" EP.

Sookie Session- Host of “She’s a Savage” : “It is such a privilege to see Shon Denay grow. I love her energy and determination. The sky is not even her limit.”

Zeke Saadiq- Host of “Rogue Rhythms” 223takeovervegasradio.com: “Although Shon Denay is small in size, she carries herself in a manner that demands respect. She is very professional and a true talent. She’ll have you falling for her song “Again” time and time again.”

Dj. Steady Groove- Host of Gangstaville Radio Show " International Beat Bangers Passport": "... I want to congratulate Shon Denay on the release of the hit single " Again". .. The feedback that I've been getting from my listens is phenomenal. One comment that sticks out is that Shon Denay has a sexy , dirty sounding voice that sort of hypnotic .. And I totally agree.. You have a captivating style and I know a great future in the industry lies before you... "
