ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This CD is a compilation of some of my favorite songs I have written. Since I am not a singer, I just sing the song on tape and play the melody on keyboard for the band to record.
Once they learn the songs, they record these in a recording studio then master the CD to complete it.

I began loving country music in the 1970's. The stories told in the songs are what I liked the most. I always wanted to write songs. Then later in life when my mother died, that same weekend, my oldest son had moving plans and the youngest son got his driver's license. Suddenly there was a great void in my life and lots of time on my hands.

So, in the spring of 1998, I began to write country ballads. Then I wrote 28 gospel songs and am working on
two CDs now.

This album is what most people describe as "KEEPING IT COUNTRY" and "THE BEST OF TRADITIONAL COUNTRY MUSIC".
There is a variety of "old style country songs" the more modern,up-tempo "contemporary style country songs".

"CHEATIN' HEARTS AND LYING EYES" is about a girl who has had enough!

"YOUR MORNING DEW" is a song that simple says 'love goes on forever'! (no matter what your lovers' pet name is).

"DON'T FORGET TO REMEMBER" is a woman reminding her husband to remember when love began and to keep it there.

"IT'S BEST TO FALL" came from the old saying, 'it's better to have loved and lost than not to have loved at all'.

"FAR BEYOND" is a colorful wedding song which tells how love goes "Far Beyond" the beauty of the outward person.

"IT TAKES TWO" the title says it all.

"MY DADDY'S LOVE" is a story of a 14 year old girl who's mother died, then the girl was pitted against her daddy's love when she fell in love. (my favorite). A meaningful song for all! What is more important than "a teenage girl in love?" (Daddy is on the back burner, but not forgotten).
Truly a "CLASSIC TRADITIONAL COUNTRY SONG." Some say this song was written with "pure country lyrics"!

"MY LOVE HOLDS AN OCEAN FOR YOU" plainly she tells him "actions speak louder than words"!

"THE STARS IN YOUR EYES" He tells her about the love he sees in her eyes.

"SO CARRY ON" is a military tribute for ALL MILITARY and many listeners have said this is BEST MILITARY TRIBUTE SONG EVER WRITTEN !

"A SOLDIER DIED" is a memorial song to honor FALLEN SOLDIERS, for ALL AMERICAN SOLDIERS of ALL WARS who died in battle. It was written to help us remember the peace and harmomy that we all live in was bought with their lives. No matter what war they fought in and died, they did not die in vain, but true heroes, insuring our future. Many have told me this military memorial song has made them cry!

I always try to write songs where the music and lyrics work together and that is the real challenge and fun part of writing songs. I know it's a gift from God and I find it very fulfilling trying to write songs that will touch someone's heart.

Hope you enjoy my "songs of life" and "songs of love"!!!

VIETNAM VETERANS, PATRIOTIC AMERICANS and ALL VETERANS, please listen to my two military "songs about soldiers", "A SOLDIER DIED" and "SO CARRY ON", especially all of you "SOLDIERS IN IRAQ"
and "SOLDIERS IN AFGHANISTAN".

For all soldiers, veterans and patriotic Americans, I have lowered my digital CD price to only $3 for 11 songs!
"BEST DIGITAL CD PRICE I HAVE EVER SEEN!"
