Album Notes
"A Pure Land" is Sienná´s 2nd release, and the 1st full album, which is a compilation of freestyle electronica-based nu-jazz on clubbing grooves where her Japanese background & her favorite European style of electronic music are successfully blended in an untraditional way.

Guest artists:
Nils Petter Molvaer (trumpet), Abòn (g., vo.), Stefano Panunzi(vo.), Juju & Jordash (remix) & Hector Ramirez Tato (tablas/perc.).

“A richly-textured bed of melodic layers, freeform electronica and jazzy flourishes which become the deepest house in the galaxy when the groove kicks in, as on the lovely \"Be Accessed\", \"Dance of the Whote Rhythms\" floats along on with avant jazz layers before the beats spin it into another lustrous sonic bed while the dense electronic layers take over on \"From the Distance of Memories\", drifting down into an ethereal ambient drone on \"The Spring Of Kyoto\". Words doesn\'t really do this gorgeous CD much justice anyway: it has to be heard and felt”
Kris Needs - Update Magazine (London, UK)

"It's interesting how the music highlights various meeting points between electronica, club-music and jazz-inspired elements”
Erik Steinskog -
Bergens Tidende (Bergen, Norway)

“Dreamy, atmospheric, and laced with synthy basslines, beats and interesting vocal samples.”
EMusician Xtra, (New York, USA)

“Sleek, atmospheric and hectic like Underworld”
New Noise (London, UK)

“Japanese born, continent drifting SIENNA is a modern day Yoko Ono, Bjork with a hint of Underworld.”
Tasty Magazine (London, UK)
