Album Notes
The songs on the album were written over the last 10 years-most in the last 5. ...Ellen's subject matter ranges from nature to love to every day life. Several songs combine love and nature themes, with earth and sky metaphors used to convey depth of emotion, as in "Grain of Promise,"

"I am tied to your heart
by golden ribbons of
braided sunlight
Stretched for eternity,
a rainbow with no end"

Ellen says 'everything' inspires her to write, and she takes a lot of musical inspiration from her album's co-producers, Ed Johnson and Linda Waterfall.

"I can't say which I have enjoyed more: working on Ellen's beautiful songs or the satisfaction of finally having them recorded so I can listen to them whenever I want to. I am a fan of both her songwriting and her charming and honest voice."
--Linda Waterfall, Singer/Songwriter/Producer, Seattle, WA

A singer-songwriter who has come into her own in the last few years, both as a writer and guitarist, proving that hard work does pay off. The results are a tribute to the sensitive songwriting.--Gryphon Gazette
