Album Notes
“Forget To Remember” winner of the 2006, UK international Songwriters Contest for best Jazz/Blues composition.

In addition to winning the best Jazz/Blues song, “Walk On By” was selected as a Runner Up in the RIB/Hip-Hop/Rap category, “A Love Like This” Finalist in the POP category, “Comforts And Annoyances” a Jazz duet sung by Battista and Silvestera made the Semi Finals. All four songs appear on the "Forget To Remember" CD.

Ms. Silvestera’s new CD features 10 original songs written for her by singer/songwriter, co-producer and band mate Ken Battista. Anna’s powerful and heartfelt vocals have many comparing her to “a young Mariah Carey”.

TAXI, the world's leading Independent Artist & Repertoire Company had this to say…

· Forget To Remember is a terrific song and an excellent presentation. I feel this is one of the stronger, better-crafted songs that have come down the pike here in a long while. Not only is the song excellent, so is the vocal performance, the arrangement, production and recording.

· Anna- I am quite impressed by your vocal performance, especially when you open up your range and really belt it out. It seems to me that you have created your own unique style.

· “Forget To Remember”, what an interesting concept! The title itself is intriguing, and the vocal performance coupled with the vocal arrangements towards the end of the song help to drive this piece home!

In 1995, Anna Silvestera began her singing career with a Philadelphia society band at the age of seventeen. She more than made up for her lack of experience with a powerful and versatile singing voice, covering everything from Patsy Cline to Aretha with the ease of a veteran. Born with perfect pitch, it became apparent that this girl was going places. Today, Anna is working 4 nights a week with her band performing covers and original material from her debut CD “Forget To Remember”. Ms. Silvestera is a dynamic, inspirational and fresh talent that many are comparing to Etta James, Mariah, Alicia Keys and Beyonce. Anna is a new talent with an old soul. Just listen!

See Anna with The Ken Battista Band every weekend in the Philadelpia area. Visit www.kenbattistaband.com for schedule and booking info.

Thanks Anna!
I started talking to Anna in 1998 about recording a cd of original material. That day is finally here and I couldn't be happier. She is my favorite entertainer, you'll understand why when you hear this cd! I'm fortunate, I get to listen to Anna sing every weekend performing with our band or as a duo. Anna, best of luck to you, your spirit, passion, and soul are evident with every note you sing. Don't ever stop!
