Album Notes
Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Sim Stevenson is a Grammy Award winning Musician, Producer, and Composer based in Atlanta, Georgia. Called upon by God, Sim began playing music in area churches at the age of 19. Self-taught, Sim developed incredible skills, which led him to arranging music and vocals and ultimately producing tracks for many local singers and groups. His early influences came from different sources such as The Gaither Band, George Beverly Shea, Fred Hammond, The Richard Smallwood Singers, Kirk Franklin and Commissioned. He also found a love for R&B, Big Band and Classical music.

Sim plays the Hammond organ, drums, bass and rhythm guitar. He has taught music in public schools and continues to teach privately. His students have gone on to become professional musicians. He has served as the Minister of Music at various churches in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area.

Sim’s production credits include production and co-production for and/or with Quincy Jones, Michael Buble’, Naturally 7, Roger Thomas, Jarrett Johnson and Kevin Deane. He served as Music Director on tour for JOE and Tony Toni Tone. As Radio One’s Gospel Jazz House Band Director for a nationwide show he directed and performed with Ken Ford, Avery Sunshine, Gerald Veasley and more.

Sim Stevenson continues to play and produce music professionally. His new focus is to create musical scores for film. He continues to be sought after for his talents, creativity, and skill. He is sure to continue to be a legendary contribution to his fans and the musical industry.
