Album Notes
Gang Situ and I met in 1989 in San Francisco. we became friends, attended each other's performances and began to think about collaboration. Our first opportunity came in 1991 when we were asked to create the score for "Circle and Style" a performance by the fabulously talented Lily Cai Chinese Dance Company of San Francisco. Over the next several years, we worked together on many Dance Company scores. The music on this CD is based on those scores.
-Gary Schwantes
