Album Notes
Run for Cover is the first single by the band Skajamz. This is old school ska in a modern setting, designed to pull you up off the couch or out of your chair
and get you dancing. Have you ever seen an out of shape ska fan? Skajamz is the result of a few long time friends getting together to play some music
and pass the time away. Fred, Richie and Devon have many years in Jamaica, playing together and in seperate bands.

Devon, a natural left hander, taught himself to play guitar right handed simply because he saw everyone else playing right handed. He played for twenty
two years with the gold medal ska band, the Skatalites, literally touring the world. I'm sure you might have seen him playing at one of those big festivals
in Europe or Africa or South America or Australia and the list goes on and on.

Richie ventured into the world of jazz and played alongside many famous horn men like Lou Donaldson and Dr.Andy Goodrich who in turn both played with Charlie Parker. He also studied bass with players who were on top of the jazz charts. Richie is as steady as a rock.

Fred played with the leading arranger in Jamaica, Carlos Malcolm, a man who wrote for film (James Bond's Dr. No), stage and of course his ever popular band the Afro Jamaican Rhythms. It seems some of Carlos' arranging skills rubbed off on Fred as demonstrated by this first single which was written by
his close friend Trevor Lopez. Run For Cover was a moment of inspiration for Trevor, but a lifetime of love and respect for Fred.

They are joined by three young horns Yamin, Lisa and Josue as well as Salvatore on drums. This is a winning combination. ENJOY!
