Album Notes

Santa Claus and his elves needed some quick-paced Ska music to help them meet the production demands of the modern world. So Santa called on one of his helpers up in Humboldt County, California, Jimmy Foot. He asked Jimmy to create the most fun Christmas album ever, and that’s how the Ska Santas were born! Working deep into the night, the Ska Santas crafted their work: Ken Lawrence on bass, Mike Kimmel on drums, Tim Randles on keys & Jimmy Foot on guitar. Joining the Ska Santas were Justin Schwartzman, who played every horn, and Jesse Jonathan, Santa’s favorite percussionist. Then Santa loaned the Ska Santas two of his elves, Doug Wendt and Luc LaRochelle, as “Toasters” to add more flavor!

Out in the studio, there arose such a clatter,
The engineers looked up to see what was the matter,
When what to their wondering ears did they hear,
Than the Ska Santas spreading Ska holiday cheer!
The Santas all dressed up in red and in white,
Played Christmas Ska music well into the night
The elves picked up the pace and made zillions of toys
For all of the earth’s little good girls and boys
As he went to his work, I could hear Santa say
“Merry Christmas, Ska Santas, you helped saved the day!”

Following is a review by Doug Wendt, “The Midnight Dread”
October, 2010:

“I previewed Ska Santas to much delight. Great job all around. Amazing arrangements & execution. I see winner spelled out in red, green & gold Xmas lights!! “Let It Snow," "Jingle Bell Ska" and on and on. Pure magic. Really loved the unusual riff that leads into "White Christmas" and those widely diverse Jimmy Foot guitar licks all over, brilliantly placed like twinklin' tinsel on a cherry!!
5 Stars for Wise Guys to follow this time I tell ya. I'm very proud to be involved.
All killer, no filler.
Give thanks!!!!”

Ska Santas is FUN!
This Ska Christmas music cd is a blast! Now finally this is Christmas music that you can dance to and definitely break the ice at any winter holiday party with friends or family! This also makes a great winter gift for anyone who may need some uplifting music during the coldest and hardest times of the year.
Also check out Jimmy Foot, the guitarist and producer of this cd, at his website: bongoboystudio.com - He also has many other awesome cds available here at cdbaby.com like his band "The Rhyth-O-Matics" (who opened for Jimmy Cliff, Madness, Fisbone and many other well known acts) titled "Walking in the Shadow", also "Jimmy Foot - Rhythm Addict" (which is incredible), "Jimmy Foot - The Instrumentals" and "Reggae Jackson". All of these cds together comprise a must have collection for any serious music lover. I have mine! Also check out Jimmy Foot's music videos on You Tube!
