Spirit Song
Music for Healing and Celebration
Michele Skeele, Certified Music Practitioner

In my core being I am music! Cells dancing in a cosmic dance, heart beating in rhythm to a song that Spirit wrote just for me. And music is my gift to others.

More and more we are becoming aware of how vibrations affect the quality of our lives. We recognize that we are vibrational beings, that everything, even rocks, vibrates at an atomic level. Sound is vibration. So it only makes sense that we register, at a cellular level, everything we hear and even things we don't pick up with our ears. Music, particularly when played with intention, supports health. Yogic chants repeated at certain frequencies stimulate our various chakras and improve the flow of energy through our bodies. The concept of resonance, bodies vibrating at sympathetic frequencies together, such as strings on a violin, is well documented.

Much research has been conducted on the actual physiology of music as medicine. Studies have shown consistently that music can be used for pain remediation, particularly in cancer patients, lessening the need for narcotics. Music helps our bodies release their own natural pain killers. Premature babies gain weight more quickly when spoken or sung to. Music can reduce blood pressure, regulate respiration and heart rate, reduce stress and relieve anxiety. Music has the ability to touch the heart and emotions as well, providing a segue for grieving and facilitating the transitional process of dying. The lower key and deeper tones of my D minor flute seem to allow people deeper access to themselves.

Shimmering energy moves through music to my soul
Energy is the word that keeps coming to mind with this CD. Not necessarily energetic, but energy - a shimmering energy that moves through the music and into my soul. Thank you Michele.

I'm truly fortunate that Michele Skeele is part of our community circle, and the music in her lovely and poignant CD has brought us all comfort, grace, hope, and cheer. Every note is filled with heart, every sound is genuine, and each selection is profoundly resonant. With each listening, there are more nuances to be enjoyed and treasures to be discovered. Bravo, Michele, and thank you.

Beautiful, inspiring and healing music .
Michele created this CD before the surgery I underwent this spring to donate half of my liver to my brother Charlie.
The beautiful healing music soothed me during my recovery from the surgery and helped me to discover a new place of peace and meaning in my life.
