Album Notes
This not only fills in those "missing" seven years from '63 to '70 but does it in a magnificent way! Now WE KNOW thanks to this CD, that it was as good as any Kenton unit that ever boarded the bus. There are 17 tracks on this CD and not
one of them is a highlight, that's because THEY ALL ARE!!! Each track offers something in it's own unique way, but always in the absolute magnificence of what was The Stan Kenton Orchestra. Isn't it absolutely marvelous to hear how
"real" cymbals sound! Dee Barton may have been cumbersome at times, but he just "SOUNDS" KENTON! The surprise to me is Ray Reed, especially on My Ship & Street Of Dreams, as good as any solos ever played Then there's the trumpet
section!! The most significant Kenton release in a decade. It's been 29 years since he's been gone, but put this in your player, and the Stan Kenton Orchestra "LIVES" !!!!!!! — Fred Augerman

This CD is a spine-tingler!!! Outstanding in every respect (performance, recorded sound, dynamics, ensemble work, solos, liner notes, photos). The kindof "out-of-the blue" release Kenton fans live for and for trumpet nuts, the
section work is awesome with Larry Ford on lead. — John Tapscott
