Album Notes
From 2001, this reissue of Sleepy's motorcycle themed first disc includes some of his best and most rocking early blues and instrumentals. Turn it up, have a refreshment and check out the eleven original tracks, including newly available: "Let's Ride (Cruiser)," "Roadhouse," and "One Lane Road."

From the vault: the blues/jazz instrumental "Sleepy's Theme" culled from "The Mojo Sessions" archives, features a killer organ track by Carl Byron. And from the "Whiskey Town" sessions, a torrid remix of "Gamblin' Man" features April Hendrix on vocals telling the tale of her inveterate gambler lover from the women's point of view.

Produced, recorded and mixed by Denis Degher at Red Zone Studios - Santa Monica, and Old School Ranch - Paso Robles, California. The Players: Denis Degher - guitar, vocals, bass and harp; Bernie Dresel, Richard Innes, Xavier Marshall & Mike Brown - drums; Larry Taylor, Mark Noreyko & John Morris - bass; and Carl Byron - organ and piano.
