ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
slim hunt

What the world is, is what it has been given. The world to come is what it is created to be. slim hunt believes in meaningful music, created for this life and the way we want to live it. Born in the mountains and raised in the cities, slim hunt is independent pop with equal parts analog and digital. We believe in organic sound but are not afraid of technology. slim hunt wants music to be both felt and thought. We fear neither noise nor silence. We were born in America’s capital but are citizens of the world. This album was recorded painstakingly by hand in America, in Prague, in the Middle East. We believe words matter, and therefore lyrics matter. After all, there is no time for drivel...

We keep our eyes and ears open to dreams. slim hunt is music for today and, should one care to listen, then for tomorrow as well.

Really, really, really good.
This album is a real "album". It takes you on a musical journey that is destined to make you smile. Just great music, expertly detailed. Each time I listen to it I hear something new in the mix. The guy has a great voice (think a cross of David Sylvian and Pete Yorn) and the tunes will stick in your head. Great melodies - with all the dreck out there today, it is a pleasure to stumble across a guy (or band?) that has written memorable tunes with intelligent lyrics. I've recommended it to a couple of my friends and they all feel the same way about it. Highly recommended.
