ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
After a positive reception to last years "Introducing The Fantastic Sounds Of...The Slingsby Hornets" the reclusive Frank E. Slingsby returns with another 50/50 mix of Powerpop/Glam originals and covers entitled "Whatever Happened To...The Slingsby Hornets?". Also included with this release is a Bonus EP, "Knee Deep In Glitter", which contains five of the most outrageously over arranged guitar harmony laden glam-pop cover versions you may possibly ever hear!

Reviews of "Introducing The Fantastic Sounds Of":

So "fans of Glam, The Beatles, Cheap Trick, Queen (Brian May in particular), Badfinger, The Move, Squeeze, and classic power pop in general get ready to have a smile put on your face...Lots of fun from start to finish!...EXCELLENT!!!"
koolkatmusik.com

"oozes cool and talent...neat pop-psyche...sounds like an updated version of The Sweet...a bit of Jellyfish meets Dream Syndicate...almost sounds like The Pillbugs...the guitar work here (very similar to Queen's Brian May) is a joy to listen to throughout...You'll have lots of fun with this release."
Powerpopaholic.com

"One of the more fun and unique releases of the year...Slots in somewhere between Jellyfish and Teenage Fanclub...a bit of a T-Rex thing going for it...pretty, psych-pastoral...reminds me a bit of Cotton Mather"
Absolutepowerpop.com

"FUN FUN FUN!...classic groove of a new wave/powerpop sound...potent powerpop that hovers around Teenage Fanclub territory with added synthesizers and plenty of vocal melodies that bring to mind Jellyfish...a pounding psychedelic piece in the manner of T-Rex...graceful idyllic psych-folk...grandiose harmonies that remind me of a glam influenced Beatles...classic psychedelic pop that evokes both Cotton Mather and Mellow Drunk...sheer fun!"
