Album Notes
Slowburn doesn't hold back with "Dirt", the first single with new lead singer, Ben Hartley. Bringing back their heavy, yet melodic sound, "Dirt" features punishingly heavy, groove oriented guitars from Nick Corrao (lead), Luke Vitkus (rhythm), and Jarod Adams (bass), complimented by Seth Dougherty's pummeling drum beats, and topped off with Ben Hartley's gritty, mission-driven vocals. "Dirt" is highlighted by calmly building verses, begging the questions, "...are we too far gone?". The verses drop into a bouncing jam session, followed by an epic, anthem like chorus filled with heart pounding guitars, driving beats, and melodic vocals, taking a fun lyrical spin, "'s not easy to be afraid, when you're the one who dug your own grave...". It all culminates in the song's breakdown, Slowburn's heaviest breakdown to-date.
