ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
maybe it's because smash palace is located half way between england and california (the philadephia area) that the band has incapsulated the best of both styles. led by stephen and brian butler, the brothers have been writing and recording great power pop/ rock songs since their first band "quincy" (columbia records) which was signed by paul atkinson of the zombies. after leaving quincy, smash palace was formed and recorded its first album on the epic label. the band had modest success, national air play, some mtv videos and national tours but the band broke up. the brothers butler went on to staff writing at bmg publishing. never really enjoying the "job" of writing for other artists, they went back to what they really love; writing songs for themselves. since 1999, smash palace has released 3 cds filled with great songs, tight harmonies and rockin' guitars. the band plays mostly in the philadephia and new york city area. to find out more about shows and more indepth information, check out their website, smashpalacemusic.com band members are stephen butler..lead vocals and lead guitar, brian butler..vocals and drums, dyanne disalvo...rhythm guitar and vocals, phil rizzo...bass guitar, greg didonato...drums

I can't stop listening to it!
It's obvious to me that Smash Palace has never put out a mediocre CD ever. I enjoy the flow of these songs from "Over The Top". They take your heart back to a time when music was all about melody and sincere thoughts of the soul. Stephen and Brian Butler are excellent song writers. I'd give them 10 stars if I could. Can't wait to hear Smash Palace's next masterpiece!

Great History, Great Sound Buy this CD!
I have been listening to the Butlers and all the bands that they have been apart of since the 1970's and their band Quincy. Their music has great heart and it shows in the love that is put in each and every song they record. Since coming back from a brillant tour of the U.K. in the early summer of 2006, Smash Palace has burned up the Bar circuit on the East coast with their sound. I suggest you buy this CD and their other CD's available on their Website, or Amazon. If nothing else do your self a favor a go watch this band when they come to your town!
Check out their Website an get the full story of the band's history. Its amazing that their spirit hasn't wavered in all the years of being in the music business.
