Album Notes
Smile from Tokyo is masterminded by Tim Nelson, formerly of Philadelphia-based outfit, illuminea (High Two). Originally hailing from Ardmore, PA, Nelson has transformed from rhythm section to songwriter, crafting nostalgic and contemplative acoustic driven pop songs which hit close to home. They have haunted the NYC rock scene for several years, playing stages such as Mercury Lounge, Knitting Factory, Cameo Brooklyn, Bowery Electric, and Pete's Candy Shop (Brooklyn, NY). Their sound has transcended into a more sophisticated and chaotic acoustic-rock, while remaining very honest and true. Nelson is joined by Brian Hayes (bass), Brian Fisher (guitar) and Roger Coletti (drums) for their first full length LP, titled "It Haunts." Recorded and mixed Sept-Dec 2017 by the esteemed Jeff Zeigler at Uniform, Philadelphia, PA. Mastered at Sun Room Audio by Dan Coutant.
