Snarky Sisterz

by Snarky Sisterz

DIana Quinn and Lisa Ann Wright are the Snarky Sisterz, a DC-based duo that defies categorization, offering an eclectic mix of Americana-infused clever originals and curated covers, with great harmonies & droll banter, with a minimum of angst and ennnui.

Album Notes
The Snarky Sisterz are: Diana Quinn, veteran DC musician (Honky Tonk Confidential, The Fabulettes, and Tru Fax & the Insaniacs) and Lisa Ann Wright (The Fabulettes, and also a professional actor). The acoustic duo plays a wide range of music, including roots rock, Americana, blues, 60's girl group songs, and punk, with a smidgeon of jazz. In the Snarky Sisterz, Diana mostly plays an M-38. Lisa plays an Art & Lutherie Roadhouse Parlor guitar, mostly because her hands are so tiny.

The songs on this debut EP are:
1. Pictures of You - A Tru Fax & the Insaniacs tune written by Diana and David Wells. It's still punk!
2. I Just Feel - Written by Lisa, this slightly snarky song is a commentary on modern politics and life.
3. Here I Am - Also written by Lisa, this song is about a relationship that can't evolve. Recorded without drums or bass, it best represents the Snarky Sisterz' live sound.
4. You Can't Hurry Love - An eclectic take on the classic Supremes song. Diana and Lisa consider the early 60s sound as a major influence.
