Album Notes
Ridgely Snow's professional career as a guitar player began at the age of nine and by the age of 12 he was leading his own bands. At the age of 15 he moved to Manhattan to play lead guitar for Polydor recording artist Genya Raven who was embarking on a solo career after several successful albums as the lead singer for Ten Wheel Drive. After completing that project, he returned to Boston to give seminars on style and solo guitar concerts at the Berklee School of Music. Touring with the James Montgomery Blues Band in the 70's, he shared the stage with the likes of The Allman Brothers, Aerosmith, James Cotton, and performed with Grover Washington, Jr.

Ridgely is a guitarist of great versatility. In addition to gaining acclaim as a Rock and Blues guitarist, his studio work covers a range of styles from Country to avant garde Jazz. He combined his knowledge of these various styles with his own creative energies to develop a unique orchestral, almost pianistic, style of acoustic guitar playing, which led to an invitation to perform with the Paul Winter Consort. He has opened for Martin Sexton, legendary British finger stylists John Renbourn and Andrian Legg, Ralph Towner and Oregon among many others. His first solo acoustic CD, "Old Coats & Hats", was released in 1995 to critical acclaim.

He continues to teach privately, sharing his unique and insightful approach to the guitar and music as a whole.
