ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Solar Punch is a solar-powered musical-activism climate solution. We transmit our knowledge of solar science, environmental awareness and ecological activism through our music and in person with demonstrations and workshops

We've had 4 visits to India, interacting with environmental action groups and leaders while engaging Indians across the subcontinent with our original music and Bollywood hits, demonstrating via our own solar energy system how solar energy works!

This album, Surya, was originally released on CD; we've decided to move on to digital distribution, using download cards & stickers along with the eventual booklet with liner notes and info. We're very pleased to be leaving plastic and packaging materials behind!

THE BAND =

This album is dedicated to the January, 2009 India Climate Solutions Road Tour Team and the Indian Youth Climate Network. Their amazing effort to document
climate solutions across India has taught us more than we could have imagined. We also gratefully acknowledge the assistance we received from the American
Center, New Delhi and the United States Department of State.

Special thanks to Alexis Ringwald for the original hook up, Kartikeyah Singh for co-founding such a strong group (IYCN), and Caroline Howe for being an incredible blazing beacon of optimism and leadership. As always, our biggest, warmest regards and hopes to our chief instigators in musical activism - Michael & T.H. Culhane.
