Album Notes
"If you love powerful ambient/electronic music you must get this CD. If you enjoy quality songwriting and musically innovative production, you must get this CD. If you are seeking a truly unique listening experience that will take you on a cultural, spiritual, and mystical journey, you must get this!" says Gian Fiero of

Sonicjoy is more than just a band, it is an experience!

Sonicjoy effortlessly and intelligently blends musical styles, textures, and influences throughout this entire project, combining ethnic chants, world percussion, and jazz influences over beds of progressive trance, ambient breaks and house. Icy vocals add distinction, personality, and emotion to the arsenal of aural stimulants.

The live band consisting of Joyelle Brandt (vocals), Sam Ryan (Bass), Rick Rodney (Guitar), Adrian lock (drums and percussion) and Shawn Jacobson (Keys, sampler & turntables) have a phenomenal orchestral chemistry and have electrified dance floors from festival showcases to the urban club scene.

The debut album "Urban Angel" was released on February 8 th 2004, and has received major industry recognition. The album's single "New Again" was chosen as the provincial winner of Canada's National Songwriting Competition in 2004.

This is a great album that I just found while researching another artist that Joyelle Brandt did some work with (Amethystium) and its absolutly wonderful. I can tell already that its going to be a timeless albums that never get old no matter how many times you hear it, I hope Ms. Brandt and her crew make many more of them.

In my search for great music, I add another to my collection. This album does an amazing job at mixing the electronic, acoustic, medieval, and ethereal sounds. If you are a fan of the Delerium, Conjure One, Balligomingo sort, you'll love this new sound.
