ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
When Sonja Grier first appeared on the Charlotte, NC recording scene as a session vocalist for Spirit Records, her unique and powerful voice was quickly recognized. Two singles for Spirit followed and did well, but it was her third release, "Love Flight 109", that exploded on US and European dancefloors and found her quickly signed to RCA Records.

She struck again with Spirit in 2005 with her Philly-grooved hit, "Right Here, Right Now" (from Spirit's "Soul Project: Reconnection" CD), which packed club floors in the UK and US.

This year, Sonja and writer/producer Bill Bradford re-teamed in the studio to cut new tracks, and the resulting "Soul Evolution" CD is just that: A collection of new soul combined with selections from her previous Spirit work - with a couple from the very early days.

The evolution (and the groove) continues with Sonja Grier at the top of her game.
