ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
SONS OF THE KING
When HipHop music started to become a nationally recognized new and viable sound coming out of the depths of urban america, it's beginnings were much more humble and versatile. The dj and rap portion of this budding culture became the spokesman for the conditions and mindstate of inner city life and it's people. Since it's inception the claim of HipHop's representatives has been that they are just expressing what they have been through and what they witness in their communities.
Truly, that is right. You've always had the voice that angrily expressed rebellion and uprising against the system. The street element that showed reverence for pimpin', loose women and violence. Partying and having a good time. You also had those who championed spirituality, love and hope. With the introduction of capital by the mainstream record giants rap stopped telling the whole story of the suffering and hope of the inner cities. Millionaires influenced the focus on just the darkside of inner city life and it's people. Many have been desiring a return of the spiritual light in our music. Enter the SONS OF THE KING!!!
This group consists of 5 of the most talented Emcees you will ever hear. Gutta da Rebel, Peep n Tom, Hannibal da Soulja, J. Hennings and Mental Torture who also produces the groups music. These men have lived in the ghetto all of their lives and have experienced the exact situations and conditions you hear about in rap music. Their experience in recording, writing, business and live performance totals almost 60 yrs. collectively.
These Emcees won many rap battles in their careers and have earned the respect of their peers from local artists in their own city of Buffalo,NY, to well known artists like Jay-Z, Method Man and D12 who have personally gave them props for their skill and sound. But being more than great battlers... they make top notch albums.
Some years ago as these Emcees were looking and hoping for better ways to live as men, and searching for answers about the existence of GOD and why not only their people, but the whole world seemed to be far away from GOD's goodness they found the Word of God. Through studying and learning the truth of the Gospel they repented of their own wickedness and were baptized in the name of the Messiah. So if rap music is the voice of this generation and it expresses what rappers claim are their real lives and views of this world, then the SONS OF THE KING are giving you their side of the story raw and uncut.
Their rap skill is unquestionable. Their music is as good and in a lot of instances better than anyone in mainstream, underground or any other genre of HipHop music. These Emcees have opened up for and have done shows alongside some of rap's most well known. Jay-Z, Ice Cube, Method Man, D12, Young Gunnas, The Lox, Common Sense, Raekwon, Kool G Rap, Killa Priest and Ghostface just to name a few. They've performed in Buffalo,NY, Rochester,NY, Marion.Ind, Atlanta,Ga, Hamilton and Toronto,Ont. and they are constantly working to branch out further.
This group has started it's own independent label so that they will not be restrained from putting out music that talks to those in the church and those who are reluctant to step in one. If there are labels who are searching for this sound then this group is ready to sit down at the conference table. And if not they are convinced that their faith and business know how will help them become successful in their determination to represent hope, love, GOD and truth. Their motto is taken from a bible verse that states"...if GOD is with you, who is it that can stand against you".
In conclusion, this group is ready to be heard. You can help them make HipHop history or you can read about it !!!
