ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Sophie is an actor and singer and currently studying at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts (ALRA) for an MA in acting.

Sophie's passion for singing erupted at a young age and when she was 12 she started singing lessons and working towards grades; she is currently a grade 8 in singing. Sophie started applying her singing talents by playing Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady and Polly Browne in The Boyfriend, both secondary school productions. Since this introduction to musical theatre, Sophie has since performed as lead roles in pantomime for Act One Productions and sung at numerous weddings. Sophie is currently working on an album containing a selection of songs from different genres that inspire her.

In her future, Sophie sees herself working in musical theatre and singing as a solo performer as well as acting for the stage and TV.

All songs are: words and music and orchestrated by singer/songwriter Paul Dominic Gray. A LOVELY SONG TO SING was for the musicals THE BIG TISSUE and JEKYLL AND HYDE, both by David Byrne.

The songs were recorded by Martin Family, studio engineer at Aston End Studios in Hertfordshire, England.
